2010 honda accord
First generation Honda Accord hatchback, 1976–1981
The compact hatchback Honda Accord debuted in 1976, and a year later the model range was replenished with a sedan. The car had front-wheel drive and was equipped with 1.6 or 1.8 petrol engines that developed 68–95 hp. with. As an alternative to the five-speed manual transmission, a two-speed (later three-speed) "automatic" was offered. For a surcharge, buyers of the Accord could order a power steering and air conditioning.
Second generation Honda Accord sedan, 1981–1985
The second generation Accord, introduced in 1981, was a redesign of its predecessor. The assembly of cars was carried out not only in Japan, but also in the USA. Sedans and hatchbacks were still equipped with 1.6 or 1.8 liter engines with a capacity of 80–101 hp. with., which worked in tandem with a five-speed "mechanics" or a four-speed "automatic". This model was the first car in the world to be equipped with a standard 2010 honda accord navigation system called the Electro Gyrocator.
Third generation Honda Accord sedan, 1985–1989The third-generation car, produced from 1986 to 1989, earned a reputation as a "driving" car - thanks to a new platform with double wishbones, powerful engines and a dynamic look. In addition to the sedan and hatchback, a coupe and a three-door station wagon Aerodeck appeared in the lineup. Under the hood of the Accord were petrol engines 1.6 (88 hp), 1.8 (100–110 hp) and 2.0 with power from 98 to 160 hp. In Japan, the car was also sold under the name Honda Vigor.
Fourth generation Honda Accord sedan, 1989–1993
The fourth generation of the Honda Accord appeared in showrooms in 1989. The car became larger (the length of the sedan was 4.7 meters), thus “passing” into the class of mid-size cars, the hatchback disappeared from the list of modifications, and instead of the “sporty” three-door station wagon, a traditional five-door “wagon” appeared.
All cars for the American market, where the Accord was becoming more and more popular, were equipped with a new 2.2-liter injection engine with a capacity of 125–150 hp. with. At home, the car was offered with 1.8 or 2.0 engines, which developed up to 150 forces. In European countries, versions were available with both "Japanese" and "American" power units. In some markets it was possible to order a 4WS fully controlled chassis.
Cars were produced until 1993 at factories in Japan, the USA and New Zealand, and station wagons were made only in America, from where they were exported, including to the European and Japanese markets.
Fifth generation Honda Accord liftback (European version), 1993–1997
Introduced in 1993, the fifth generation Accord had different versions: one for the European market, the second for America and Japan. The European car was produced in the UK only with a five-door hatchback body. It was built on the platform of the previous generation model and was similar to the Japanese Honda Ascot Innova. In addition, the Rover 600 was also designed on the same basis, since at that time Honda was actively cooperating with the British company.
The American-Japanese version of the Honda Accord differed in both design and construction. The car had versions with sedan, hatchback and wagon bodies, and in Japan it also had a "twin" under the name Isuzu Aska. US specification station wagons with the Accord Aerodeck nameplate were exported from the US factory to the European market.
The range of power units consisted of petrol four-cylinder engines with a volume of 1.8, 2.0, 2.2 and 2.3 liters, the most powerful of which was a 2.2-liter Honda Accord SiR modification engine for the Japanese market, which developed 190 hp. with. In Europe, buyers were also offered cars with a Rover two-liter turbodiesel, and in America - with a 2.7-liter V6 engine.
